ABOUT
Me
Born and raised outside of Boston Massachusetts, Amy Surette has studied the vast majority of both the concert and commercial dance world. Represented by MSA Agency, it is her mission to merge both styles into her work. With a technical background as well as an immense amount of training in styles such as jazz-funk, pom, contemporary and hip hop, she has a traditional yet flirtatious way about her work. She finds that the most important aspect of her craft is that she wants to evoke emotions out of audiences of all kinds in both a visceral and physical manner. She does this through her use of imagery and physicality.
Amy Surette grew up in the competition dance world then went on to study concert dance at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She was also a part of the dance team which performed at both football and basketball games and competed in Daytona Beach Florida for the NDA collegiate national championship. After studying at this university for a year and a half, she decided to further her education in commercial dance by transferring to The Studio School, Los Angeles (formerly known as Relativity School.) Some of Amy's most memorable accomplishments thus far include being crowned Miss Dancers Inc 2016 (which was the pivotal moment in which she considered moving to LA), dancing in Patee Sarasin's Civil War music video and dancing at the Dizzy Feet Gala.
In addition to working as a professional dancer, Amy Surette is an advocate for healthy living. She is a fitness enthusiast and loves helping people to help achieve their goals. She works in group fitness as well as personal training. She has also taken numerous acting classes since she’s been living in Los Angeles and is pursuing a career as both a commercial actress and dancer! Stay tuned to see what's to come!
